Surgery Day

Michael's surgery started at 8:00 a.m. (Central Time).

Everyone on the surgical team stopped by prior to surgery. The good news is that the surgeon is not planning on making an incision in the upper abdomen so his recovery should be less painful. The surgeon reminded us that the surgery might not work but is hoping he will be able to remove all of the cancer but he really did not know and wont until he opens Michael up. So were hoping to not see the surgeon for 3 hours, which would mean he worked hard to get it all out. Prior to surgery Michael was in good sprits and hopeful and was extremely glad to have his family by his side and happy to hear that his brother Kevin is flying into Chicago tonight to see him.
